The Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris is the most spectacular race in the Jump calendar. It crowns the best horses and jockeys in a quite unique event.
The Prix du Jockey-Club, inaugurated in 1836, is one of the highlights of the Flat racing season and the second-richest race of the year in France. At the end of 2,100 metres, it crowns the best three-year-old colt or filly each year. It is run at prestigious Chantilly racecourse and the winner will be expected to take on the world's best thoroughbreds on the first weekend in October in the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
The most glamorous race of the year ! Ladies have been the focus of racing attention at Chantilly for the Prix de Diane Longines since 1843! The main event of the day is open to three-year-old fillies only, and they compete before the most elegant of elegant crowds.

During the entire month of August the racing community moves to its summer quarters at Deauville, on the Normandy coast. These are four intense weeks with 18 racing days programmed at Deauville-La Touques racecourse, which is managed by France Galop. That embraces 148 races (six of them Group I), more than 2,000 runners and 7.5 million Euros distributed in prize-money.
The Grand August Meeting of Deauville Lucien Barrière is without doubt the most important sporting destination of the summer.
